One of my favorite TV shows of all time is "The Wire," so it was great to see on CrimProf Blog that Professor I. Bennett Capers of Hofstra University has posted an essay on SSRN entitled "Crime, Legitimacy, Our Criminal Network, and the Wire." Professor Capers notes in his abstract that the Ohio State Journal of Criminal Law held a mini-symposium on "The Wire," and the articles presented will appear in Volume 8 (still not released). Thanks to SSRN, you can read some of the scholarship that emerged from "The Wire" symposium before the journal publishes Volume 8:
- Alafair S. Burke, "I Got the Shotgun: Reflections on The Wire, Prosecutors and Omar Little"
- Susan A. Bandes, "And All the Pieces Matter: Thoughts on The Wire and the Criminal Justice System"
