Of course, everyone wants to pass the bar exam the first time around. But sometimes, even for the smartest, brightest people, it doesn't work out that way. Our own Attorney General and former (perhaps future?) governor, Jerry Brown, did not pass the California bar the first time. Former Governor Pete Wilson didn't pass until his fourth try.
